We have another exciting fundraising challenge to share!
Long-term Foundation friend Rob Northfield met Leeds United legend Tony Dorigo at last year’s Awards dinner and the pair have cooked up an amazing challenge in June to raise funds for the Foundation – the Burj Khalifa Climb Challenge.
The event, on Friday 13 June at Knaresborough Leisure and Wellbeing Hub, will see 72-year-old Rob make a nonstop four to six hour attempt to climb more than 6,600 metres on a Stairmaster machine with the support of Tony.
That is the equivalent of climbing the 159 floors of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, more than five times.
The proceeds of this massive challenge will be shared between the Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation and Henshaws, another friend of the Foundation and beneficiary of grants.
